After amazing development of infrastructure in the mere span of few years, now it was the time that SLIET should have been glorified in its academia too. And, this is now true to be happened from the following accolades received to SLIET students and faculty:   SLIET, Longowal was awarded second prize for the project- Programmable Robot submitted in student project contest during ELECRAMA- 2004( 6th International Exhibition of Electrical, Professional Electronics and Allied Products during 3-7 February 2004 at New Delhi. SANT LONGOWAL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY, Longowal has been AWARDED KONGRU TROPHY by ISTE for its BEST OVERALL PERFORMANCE during the ISTE National Convention for the year 2002. Dr. H. K. Sharma, Assistant Professor, Food Technology Department, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology has been awarded SGSITS NATIONAL AWARD for BEST RESEARCH TEACHER (Below 35 years) of Engineering colleges for the year 2002 by ISTE.[Photo] Sh. Gaurav Verma, Lecturer, Dept of Chemical Technology was given the Indian Science Congress Association ISCA Best Poster Presentation Award in the 91 st Indian Science Congress, held at Chandigarh during January 3 to 7,2004. Sh. Suban K Sahoo, Research Fellow, Department of Chemistry, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology has been awarded with the “YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD” by Punjab Academy of Sciences in the Seventh Punjab Science Congress organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar during 7-9 February 2004, in Section-C (Chemical, Physical and Mathematical Sciences). Presently, he is pursuing Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. B K Kanungo and Dr. Minati Baral from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.
